Supper-Roast Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken, ~4 lb
  • 1 onion, wedged
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika

  1. Mix spices and salt together.
  2. Place 1/2 of spice mix in chicken cavity with onion wedges.
  3. Rub the other 1/2 of spice mix all over chicken.
  4. Place in pan and bake at 375 deg F for 1.5 hrs (4 lb) or 1.75 hrs (4.5 lb).
  5. Let rest 30 min, then carve.
